Quick answer
If you want the Straw Hat crew in dissected form, go with S1. If you prefer navy characters and a lower price per box, the Marines Edition is your pick.
Character lineup differences
S1 features the main Straw Hat Pirates—Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Chopper, and more—with 6 regular characters plus 2 chasers and 1 ultra rare chaser. The Marines Edition focuses on the World Government's naval forces, offering a different set of characters in the same half-dissected style. Your choice depends on which faction of the One Piece world you want to collect.
Price and value
The Marines Edition is priced at USD 11.55 (compared to USD 16.99), while S1 costs USD 12.40 (also compared to USD 16.99). Both are blind boxes, so you pay for the surprise. The slight price difference may matter if you plan to buy multiple boxes.
Trade-offs at a glance
- S1: More characters and rarer chasers: You get 6 regular characters plus 2 chasers and 1 ultra rare chaser from the Straw Hat crew. The variety is higher, but the price is slightly higher per box.
- Marines Edition: Lower price, themed set: Priced at USD 11.55 per box, it's the more budget-friendly option. However, the character pool is limited to Marines, so you won't get the main crew.
- Both: Blind box surprise: Neither lets you pick your figure. If you want a specific character, you may need to trade or buy multiple boxes. The half-dissected style is consistent across both. Plan for duplicates if you're after one specific figure.
